Homeopathic Treatment for Eczema
Eczema, also known as dermatitis, is an inflammatory condition affecting skin. The skin becomes red, itchy, dry, cracked etc. In acute cases, there might be weeping, crusting and bleeding. Flare-ups can occur on any part of the body. There are number of different forms of eczema:
Atopic eczema affects children who have genetic predisposition to develop allergic reactions, including eczema, asthma, hay fever, to certain substance.
Contact dermatitis is caused by contact with a substance to which is a person sensitive; it might be certain plant, chemical, metal etc.
Seborrhoeic eczema often affects adults and infants, in which case it is known as cradle cap. It mainly occurs on the scalp and face, starting off in the form of dandruff which progresses to redness, itching and scaling.
Varicose eczema affects mostly the elderly who have problems with varicose veins; the blood stagnates in the lower legs and results in poor oxygenation and distribution of nutrients. The skin becomes dark, itchy and inflamed; in later stages the skin may break down and form ulcers.
Homeopathy is a holistic therapy and the treatment of each person must be individualised.
